The University of Toronto and Ryerson University have joined forces to bring together the latest Canadian technological developments in the area of solar energy use in buildings.
The 4th Canadian Solar Buildings Conference, organized by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada’s Solar Buildings Research Network, will be held from June 25 to 27, 2009 at the Delta Chelsea Hotel in Toronto, Ontario. Leading Canadian researchers will present their latest findings on how to best use solar energy in residential and commercial buildings.
Research presentations will be complemented by provocative panel discussions on contemporary topics ranging from Urban Energy Systems to Solar-Powered Neighbourhoods and Net Zero Energy Houses. The panel discussions will also showcase the key initiatives of leading organizations, such as the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the Canadian Gas Association, the Ontario Power Authority, and the Canadian Solar Industries Association. The stakeholder organizations are undertaking to improve the way clean, free and inexhaustible solar energy can be more effectively used in our houses, buildings and communities.
