Founded in 2000, the 11th Toronto International Art Fair takes place from October 28 to November 1, 2010, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. This year’s Fair boasts over 100 fine art galleries from 13 countries. From the world’s newest, most exciting contemporary artists to work by modern masters, Art Toronto 2010 offers a unique and first-hand look at what’s happening in the international art world. In addition to 108 international galleries, Art Toronto also features an engaging and diverse cultural program that includes speakers, special curated projects, panel discussions and docent-led tours.
The Opening Night Preview on Thursday, October 28 runs from 6:30pm to 10:00pm, and is the celebratory launch of the Art Fair and a benefit for the Art Gallery of Ontario. Guests have the opportunity to preview and purchase works of art before the Fair opens to the public while socializing over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. A highlight of the evening is the opportunity to meet some of today’s leading artists whose work is featured at the Fair. Tickets are $200 per person.
