Architecture for Humanity Toronto 2009 Lecture Series: “The Toronto Trilogy”
This four-part series explores the past, present and future of Toronto’s built environment. Episode 1: Toronto Remembered takes place on February 9, 2009 at 6:30pm on the Trading Floor of the Design Exchange in Toronto.
In this episode, join Chair of the Toronto Society of Architects Antonio Gomez-Palacio, Professor Emerita and Senior Scholar Frances Frisken of the Urban Studies program at York University, and Patrick M. Cummins from the Toronto Archives for a discussion that will explore our past intentions, how closely we adhered to them, how far we departed from them, and what we have potentially gained or lost in the process of constructing our built heritage. The panel will be moderated by John Lorinc, a freelance urban affairs writer and author of The New City.
All lectures are pay-what-you-can, with a suggested donation of $10 ($5 for students and senior citizens) to support Architecture for Humanity’s efforts in Toronto.
