Architecture & Design Film Festival: Design Directs Everything

The Architecture & Design Film Festival in New York is the nation’s largest film festival celebrating architecture and design. Running from October 15-19, 2014, this year’s Festival at the Tribeca Cinemas will showcase more than 30 films, panel discussions, book signings and Q&As with design leaders and filmmakers from around the world.

For its highly anticipated sixth season, the Festival will host the US premiere of Cathedrals of Culture, a revolutionary 3D film project by German filmmaker Wim Wenders.

The project brings together six award-winning directors–a powerful creative ensemble–each of whom have selected an iconic building to star in their films. The international roster includes: the Salk Institute by Robert Redford; the Oslo Opera House by Margreth Olin; the Berlin Philharmonic by Wim Wenders; Centre Pompidou by Karim Aïnouz; Halden Prison by Michael Madsen; and the National Library of Russia by Michael Glawogger.
