Arcaid Images Architectural Photography Awards
With a $3,000 prize fund and brand new category, the deadline for the Arcaid Images Architectural Photography Awards has been extended to July 14, 2014.
This is your chance to win the most prestigious award for architectural photography with a $3,000 prize (cash or product to be confirmed). Be judged by leading architects and have your work on display in Singapore at the annual World Architecture Festival, attended by the world’s leading architects. The work will also be exhibited at Werkstatt, the new cultural HQ of the Sto Group in London’s fashionable Clerkenwell district.
There are four categories for photographers to enter: Exteriors, Interiors, Sense of Place, and Buildings in Use.
Arcaid and Sto have also announced a new special photography award for small architectural practices (up to 10 staff). This represents a unique opportunity for exposure at the World Architecture Festival: the winning practice will receive one entry ticket and one gala dinner ticket for the Festival.
To reflect the World Architecture Festival keynote speaker presentation the new category will be Architecture in the City.
Architecture in the City; for the purpose of this award we define this as a very large urban area: an urban area where a large number of people live and work. Working in partnership, practice and photographer – however modest the project, this award facilitates increased exposure in a global arena.
The jury includes Danish architect Bjarne Hammer of Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects; David Jenkins, formerly of Phaidon Publishing and Norman Foster Works series, and now has his own imprint.
