Born in Bergamo in 1945, Aldo Colonetti is a philosopher, historian, theorist, journalist and professor. He graduated with a degree in philosophy, and has been engaged in research on the aesthetic and semantic problems of communication, graphics and design. He was a professor of aesthetics at the University Statale di Milan (1972-75), and in 1985 became the director of the Department of Graphics at the European Institute of Design in Milan. He has been widely published, and since 1991 has directed Ottagono, a quarterly magazine on design. He will be speaking about contemporary landscape and urban design in Milan.
This event takes place at 11:00am 12:00pm on Monday, March 21 at Toronto’s Design Exchange, and is part of the Universal Design Professional Development workshop series which introduces designers and other professionals to the concept of Universal Design and how they can create accessible products and environments for all demographics including people with disabilities and the aging population.
