Alberta Architeture and Design at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC
The RAIC Alberta Chapter will be representing Alberta architecture and design at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, DC from June 30 to July 11, 2006.
The Smithsonian Folklife Festival is an award-winning professionally curated museum without walls devoted to grassroots cultural heritage and has been named the “top event in the USA.”
The festival presents an opportunity for people to learn about Alberta’s architectural and design excellence, history, heritage, culture and diversity first-hand from Albertans who have dedicated their lives to celebrating, promoting and preserving it under the spotlight of US National andinternational Media coverage that will reach 50 million people including policy makers, dignitaries and visitors from all works of life.
The RAIC Alberta Chapter will be exhibiting various aspects of Alberta architecture and design at the Festival.
