AIBC application deadline extended: 20 x 20 call for presenters for annual conference

The deadline for submissions for the 20×20 event at the 2013 AIBC annual conference has been extended to September 11, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Organizers are still looking for a wide range of clever and creative concepts to be part of a high-energy evening of ideas and inspiration presented Pecha Kucha-style.

20×20 or Pecha Kucha is a unique presentation style where speakers presents 20 images, each image lasting for only 20 seconds, resulting in an entire presentation at six minutes and 40 seconds. The automatic progression of the images makes for a fast-paced, focused and fun event where creative ideas are rapidly conveyed in a concise and memorable style.

This visual buffet will serve as a spirited warmup to the opening night’s keynote address, taking place on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Selected submissions will offer a unique take on the conference’s “Sea Change: Architecture on the Crest” theme, calling attention to the dynamic, critical times in which we live and the important role the design community has in creating successful, sustainable communities. This energized event will also support the conference goals of informing, challenging and inspiring in order to bring about positive change.

Entry is open to all members of the design community, not just AIBC and AIA NWPR registrants. Space is still available. Don’t miss your chance to be part of an inspirational event.
