OAQ Awards of Excellence Announced
On April 5th, 2019, The Ordre des architects of Quebec (OAQ) revealed the winners of the 30th Awards of Excellence in Architecture at the Société des arts technologiques in Montreal.
Dutch architect Robert-Jan Van Santen was the chair of the jury that selected the winners out of 104 candidates. The gala’s highest honour, the Grand Prize of Excellence, was awarded to the Bibliothèque de Drummondville, by Chevalier Morales architects and DMA architects.
The program was also open to online votes for the Public’s Choice Prize, which was awarded to Strøm Spa Vieux-Québec, a project by LEMAYMICHAUD Architecture Design.
The OAQ Awards of Excellence in Architecture are designed to recognize and showcase the exemplary architectural achievements of Quebec architects. From residential homes to sustainable developments, here are the OAQ 2019 Awards of Excellence winners:
