19th Annual ARIDO Awards.

The 2003 Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO) Awards of Excellence has honoured 22 interior design projects completed throughout North America. Awards of Excellence and Honourable Mentions were given in 7 categories that included retail spaces, workplaces, marketing centres, healthcare facilities, hotels and recreational facilities, restaurants and bars, and restoration and adaptive re-use. In the Retail Spaces category, Awards of Excellence went to Holt’s Cafe in Toronto by II by IV Design Associates Inc and Club Monaco Flagship Store in New York by Burdifilek; Honourable Mentions went to Town Shoes in Toronto by Watt IDG; Jacob in Laval, Quebec by Burdifilek and La Maison Simons in Laval, Quebec by Watt IDG. In the Workplaces category, Honourable Mentions went to TD Bank Financial Group–Executive Suite in Toronto by Figure 3 Network; Minute Maid Company Canada Inc. in Toronto by Smith Grimley Harris Design Partners Inc.; BP Canada Energy Company in Calgary by Martens Group Licensed Interior Design Studio Ltd; RBC Financial Group Corporate Meeting and Conference Floor in Toronto by Marshall Cummings & Associates Ltd.; the Toronto Stock Exchange in Toronto by HOK Canada and Eclipse Imaging in Burlington, Ontario also by HOK Canada. In the Healthcare Facilities category, an Honourable Mention went to Floreani Orthodontist Offices in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario by Ellis Pastore Oswin Consultants. In the Marketing Centres category, Awards of Excellence went to Casey Design/Planning Group Interior Design Show 2002 in Toronto by Casey Design/Planning Group; Kohler Spa Interior Design Show Booth 2002 in Toronto by Gluckstein Design Planning Inc. and to Tip Top Lofts in Toronto by Burdifilek. In Hotels and Recreational Facilities, an Honourable Mention went to Diesel Fitness in Toronto by II by IV Design Associates Inc. In Restaurants and Bars, Honourable Mentions went to Catch Restaurant in Calgary by Parchoma & Jones Design Inc. and Seven Nightclub in Toronto by II by IV Design Associates Inc. In Restorative and Adaptive Re-use, Awards of Excellence went to Roche Bobois in Toronto by Figure 3 Network and the York Theatre in Toronto by II by IV Design Associates Inc. while Honourable Mentions went to CIBC Mellon in Toronto by Smith Grimley Harris Design Partners Inc. and Simcoe Hall at the University of Toronto by Marshall Cummings & Associates Ltd.
