Design Exchange Award winners announced
At an awards dinner held on the evening of November 29, the Design Exchange announced the winners of its 2007 Awards program.The Design Exchange Awards (DXA) celebrate the success of Canadian designers in the areas of: Architecture, Fashion, Graphic Design, Industrial Product Design, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design.
This year, 35 awards were handed out to designers in 12 categories for projects completed in Canada, the US and in international cities. The winners were presented with a plaque and their award-winning work will be featured in an exhibition at the Design Exchange until January 27, 2008.
Established in 1991, the Design Exchange Awards are the only national multidisciplinary design competition to judge designers' work on commercial effectiveness. Canadian designers from any field may submit projects produced in and outside of Canada. It promotes Canadian design and excellence and recognizes the critical role of design in all types of organizations, including commercial entities (large and small businesses), not-for-profit organizations and the public sector.
