| Main Body | REACH ARCHITECTURE Studio is hosting a fundraising event for the design and build of a vocational training college in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The event takes place from 6:30pm to 11:00pm on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Interaccess Gallery, located at 9 Ossington Avenue. Presentation of the proposed project will commence at 8:00pm. REACH ARCHITECTURE Studio is comprised of thesis students from the University of Toronto, who are currently focused on raising money to design/build a vocational school in Nyalebbe, Democratic Republic of Congo. They are working with a local NGO of the Mahagi Territory, the Community Development Alliance (CDA), a group of local community activists, teachers and women’s rights advocates. Through research and assessment, they feel that the implementation of a vocational training college is not only one of the best ways to bring skill and education to the Nyalebbe, but it can also work to improve its local economy.
