REACH ARCHITECTURE Studio is hosting a fundraising event for the design and build of a vocational training college in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The event takes place from 6:30pm to 11:00pm on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Interaccess Gallery, located at 9 Ossington Avenue. Presentation of the proposed project will commence at 8:00pm.

REACH ARCHITECTURE Studio is comprised of thesis students from the University of Toronto, who are currently focused on raising money to design/build a vocational school in Nyalebbe, Democratic Republic of Congo. They are working with a local NGO of the Mahagi Territory, the Community Development Alliance (CDA), a group of local community activists, teachers and women’s rights advocates. Through research and assessment, they feel that the implementation of a vocational training college is not only one of the best ways to bring skill and education to the Nyalebbe, but it can also work to improve its local economy.

Scheduled events for the evening include a photography exhibition, auction, and raffle.
