Jorn Weisbrodt, Artistic Director of Luminato, speaks at Toronto’s Design Exchange on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 6:30pm. Weisbrodt brings to Luminato an international reputation for collaborating on landmark projects with some of the most prestigious arts organizations around the globe, including La Scala di Milano, the Barbican Centre in London, and the Bolshoi Theatre.
Previously, Weisbrodt was the Director of the Watermill Center in New York State where he was responsible for incubating exciting cross-disciplinary performances and installations, establishing partnerships with the Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Baryshnikov Arts Center, among others. He was also Assistant Director at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, presenting new work from artists such as Herzog and de Meuron, Marina Abramovic, and many more.
On February 26th, joining a battery of Toronto’s creatives, Weisbrodt shares his secrets for happiness in the C’mon Get Happy rap session at the DX.
Admission is free for DX members, and $15 for others (ticket includes admission to Stefan Sagmeister’s groundbreaking exhibition The Happy Show).
